Today's picks: Expert on 8-0 run predicts Cubs will win vs. Mets, plus more MLB, NBA and NHL picks for Wednesday

Coming off a 6-1 day overall, the Coach and featured sports betting experts Mike McClure and Larry Hartstein look to keep the momentum going on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. The guys supply their top picks for MLB, the NBA and NHL for Wednesday, April 21.  

To open the SportsLine Storylines of the Day, Mike provides a detailed explanation of how different sportsbooks handled the suspended game between the Reds and Diamondbacks on Tuesday. He then launches into the NBA injury rundown for Wednesday, spotlighting the Thunder, Pacers, a big matchup between the Sixers and Suns, the tanking Raptors and more. Mike has the latest on stars such as Domantas Sabonis, Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell, Jimmy Butler and others. 

The Coach serves up two SportsLine Plays of the Day, riding with the Angels -1.5 over the Rangers at 4:07 p.m. ET, and the Oilers -125 over the Canadiens at 10:00 p.m. ET. 

As he embarks on an effort keep up a sizzling 8-0 run in MLB, Mike takes the Marlins -1.5 over the Orioles at 1:10 p.m. ET. Miami gets a very friendly matchup for their bats, and he loves the strikeout upside of Trevor Rogers. Mike is also going back to the Cubs to win again on Wednesday as they host the New York Mets at 7:40 p.m. ET on another frigid night at Wrigley Field. "It's going to be another brutally cold night, with a high of 40 degrees and a little bit of wind blowing in," he says. "That's going to help Zach Davies stay out of trouble just enough. I like the Cubs against a left-handed pitcher. Take the Cubs +130." 

Larry has a pair of NBA props, including Darius Bazley going over 15.5 points against a highly vulnerable Indiana frontcourt in Thunder-Pacers at 7:00 p.m. ET. He also sees Kevin Porter Jr. surpassing 23.5 points, assists and rebounds in a fast-paced Jazz-Rockets matchup at 8 p.m. ET. in MLB, Larry is on the Nationals -157 over the Cardinals at 4:05 p.m. ET. He says Washington's hitters will batter Carlos Martinez.
