In a conference with sixteen teams it can be hard to identify a mini sleeper. BYU may be that as they have turned the page after a demoralizing overtime loss to Utah. Since they have won four straight games with excellent offense. Take them tonight as Arizona comes down to Earth after a scorching stretch.

I agree with the market move toward BYU. Arizona is more talented but enters off an emotional rivalry win and will have to deal with a raucous atmosphere in Provo, Utah. Cougars stud defender Mawot Mag, the Rutgers transfer, is finally contributing offensively, scoring 19’points in BYU’s latest win at Central Florida. The Cougars have won 18 of their last 19 home games.

This game has a similar feel to Iowa State/Kansas from last night. However, both of these teams are in better current form than that game. The Wildcats have won 11 of their last 12 games and are 7-4 ATS in conference play. Provo is a very tough place to play, as BYU is 11-1 SU and 8-4 ATS. The Wildcats are 4-2 ATS on the road but those came against, Arizona State, Cincinnati, West Virginia and Oklahoma State. BYU is better than all those teams. The Cougars have a deeper bench, protect the defensive glass well and are the more consistent team from beyond the arc.
