Richmond is good but got some bad news this week as starting point guard DeLonnie Hunt is out 6-8 weeks because of a fractured left wrist. He was one of the Spiders' big transfer additions -- originally hurt Nov. 20 -- and averaging 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in about 28 minutes per game. Richmond is 2-0 without him but this is a step up in competition, and only RU's second true road game (lost at Boston College). Wichita State ranks 3rd nationally in defensive rebounds per game, 10th in rebounds per game and 15th in FG percentage defense. Quincy Ballard ranks 3rd nationally in blocks (20). The Shockers are looking to start 7-1 for the first time since 2019-20.
