Bears vs. Eagles picks, predictions
Eagles: Win by 5+ points ($0.51 per share)
Saquon Barkley: Fewer than 60 rushing yards ($0.42 per share)
Colston Loveland: Anytime touchdown ($0.19 per share)
Eagles to win by 5+ points ($0.51 per share)
Philadelphia has spent two weeks living dangerously without blinking. The Eagles beat Washington by two points in the opener, then needed a touchdown in the final seconds to escape Tennessee 24-20. Hurts threw for 264 yards in that one and led a 65-yard drive for the winning score. Smith delivered 117 receiving yards, giving Philadelphia another big passing-game performance when it needed one. The Eagles are 2-0 even though neither victory has come easily.
Chicago offers a strange counterpoint. The Bears scored 59 against Carolina before Minnesota held them to three last week. Williams' absence guarantees a change under center, but the offense still has Swift available after his three-touchdown opener. SportsLine expects Philadelphia to create a little more room this time, calling for a 22-17 Eagles victory. That's exactly a five-point margin. Wouldn't you know it, Polymarket prices Philadelphia to win by more than 4.5 points at $0.51 per share. Saquon Barkley (PHI | RB), fewer than 60 rushing yards ($0.42 per share)
Barkley's first two games have already provided two very different rushing lines. He opened with 83 yards on 15 carries against Washington, including a 42-yard gain. Tennessee was another story. Barkley left early with a stinger and later returned, finishing with only nine yards on four attempts. That leaves him at 92 rushing yards on 19 carries through two games. Philadelphia also has Tank Bigsby available after he handled 13 carries in Week 2.
SportsLine isn't forecasting a quiet game for Barkley on Monday. Its player numbers give him 56.3 rushing yards, which still puts him just below the 60-yard figure. The Eagles can also create offense through Hurts' legs or distribute carries elsewhere if Barkley's workload isn't enormous. Polymarket asks whether Barkley reaches 60 rushing yards, with the opposite result priced at $0.42 per share. Colston Loveland (CHI | TE), anytime touchdown ($0.19 per share)
Loveland's second season has started quietly. He went without a catch in Chicago's 59-point opener, then caught one pass for three yards against Minnesota. That's an unusual opening for a tight end who produced 58 receptions for 713 yards with six touchdowns as a rookie. Loveland will also be working with a different quarterback Monday, which could alter how Chicago distributes the football. His 6-foot-6 frame gives the Bears an obvious option over the middle and becomes especially useful once the field gets shorter.
SportsLine expects more involvement than Loveland has seen so far. Its Monday numbers give him 3.2 receptions for 38 yards, with 0.24 receiving touchdowns. That doesn't call for a total breakout, but it does put him among Chicago's more relevant scoring options in a game where SportsLine gives the Bears 17 points. Polymarket currently prices Loveland to score a touchdown at $0.19 per share.
