Seahawks to win outright (62% chance)
Seattle controlled possession throughout its 20-3 victory over Kansas City. The Seahawks converted 11 of 16 third downs and held the ball for 36 minutes, limiting the Chiefs to eight possessions. Macdonald's defense allowed 213 yards and forced mistakes from Patrick Mahomes. Seattle gained 410 yards, but an endzone interception kept the final score closer than its control of the game suggested.
Chicago arrives at 5-2 after defeating New England 30-24. The Bears' rushing offense leads the NFL, giving them a different way to challenge a defense that has allowed only 144.4 passing yards per outing. Seattle is 4-3, and Sam Darnold has thrown eight interceptions this season. Seattle's defense has collected 12 takeaways. SportsLine forecasts a 29-19 Seattle win and gives it a 71% chance outright. Caleb Williams, 250+ passing yards ($0.39 per Yes share)
Williams returned from a hamstring injury with two strong passing games. He completed 30 of 36 attempts for 305 yards at Atlanta, then threw for 308 against New England. The Patriots game included two touchdown passes without an interception. Williams has topped 250 yards in three of his four starts, including 269 in the opener against Carolina.
Seattle is a tougher assignment through the air. The Seahawks lead the league in passing defense at 144.4 yards allowed per game, and no opposing quarterback has reached 300 yards against them this season. Chicago's ground game can help, but Williams may need to throw if running lanes close. He completed all 24 of his throws from an unpressured pocket against Atlanta, according to Next Gen Stats. SportsLine forecasts 273 passing yards. Polymarket gives Williams a 39% chance to reach 250, with Yes at $0.39 and No at $0.65. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 8+ receptions ($0.48 per Yes share)
Eight catches is familiar for Smith-Njigba. He's reached it in five of seven games, including eight against New England and nine at Arizona. He collected 10 catches for 128 yards at Washington, while his 12 receptions at Denver turned into 134. Against Kansas City, he caught nine of 12 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown.
The two exceptions came against the Chargers and 49ers, when Smith-Njigba caught five passes in each game. Even then, he had 76 and 102 receiving yards. Seattle's passing attack runs heavily through him: 58 receptions for 867 yards and eight touchdowns, compared with 19 catches for tight end AJ Barner. Chicago's defense faces a receiver who can reach eight catches with relative ease. SportsLine forecasts 8.6 receptions, while Polymarket gives Smith-Njigba a 48% chance to record at least eight, with Yes at $0.48 and No at $0.57.
