Kalshi prediction markets for NFL Week 1
Chiefs vs. Broncos: Kansas City to defeat Denver by at least 3 points ($0.52 per share)
Chiefs vs. Broncos: Kenneth Walker III to score a touchdown ($0.53 per share)
Chiefs vs. Broncos: J.K. Dobbins to record 50+ rushing yards ($0.52 per share)
Chiefs vs. Broncos: Chiefs to win by 3+ points
Kansas City's 6-11 record last season looked downright bizarre in light of some of the underlying numbers. The Chiefs actually outscored opponents by 34 points across the full season and produced an expected record closer to 10 wins than six. They were also 5-4 at Arrowhead compared to 1-7 on the road. In other words, the operation wasn't quite as broken as the standings suggested. Denver unquestionably earned the AFC West crown at 14-3 and swept Kansas City, but this version of the Chiefs gets a potentially healthy Mahomes back and opens at home.
Kenneth Walker III arrives in Kansas City with about the strongest possible closing argument from his Seattle tenure. He's a champion. Walker III rushed for 1,027 yards during the 2025 regular season, then went nuclear in the postseason, scoring four rushing touchdowns in three games and eventually earning Super Bowl LX MVP honors. His regular season touchdown total was a more modest five, but the playoff surge showed how dangerous he can become when the lights turn bright. Kansas City signed Walker in March from free agency, handing Andy Reid a younger and more explosive centerpiece for a backfield that lacked consistent pop last season. Denver's defense was excellent in 2025, so nothing about the assignment is automatic, but Walker's recent scoring history gives this market a legitimate statistical foundation.
J.K. Dobbins quietly made 50 rushing yards feel almost routine before injury shortened his first Denver season. He topped that threshold in nine of his 10 appearances, finishing with 772 yards on 153 carries—an even 5.0 yards per attempt. The lone exception was a 40-yard outing against the Jets. Denver still lists Dobbins atop its running back depth chart entering 2026, ahead of RJ Harvey, giving him a clear path to the type of workload that produced those numbers last year. This market is also refreshingly simple. Dobbins doesn't need a touchdown or a reception. He needs 50 rushing yards, a number he averaged more than 77 per appearance in 2025 before landing on injured reserve.
