Considering Columbus hasn't won back-to-back games since Thanksgiving week, this hardly looks an undue risk on the Rangers, who tonight go back in goal to Igor Shesterkin, who has allowed exactly one goal in each of his last three starts, all wins (Jonathan Quick in the nets on Sunday). Elvin Merzlikins had hardly been having a big February in goal for the Jackets before getting the win on Sunday, but he's still posting a subpar 3.74 GAA and mere .896 saves this month. Massive payback game for New York after its franchise-record-tying 10-game winning streak was snapped Sunday in Columbus. The Rangers would have taken the league lead in points with a victory. It was the second of a back-to-back for them, though, and now they've had a few days to stew about it. The Jackets usually are pretty competitive at home but have just nine road wins.
