I'll lay as many points as I have to in this matchup. Mike Zimmer's squad is an excellent ATS team at home, 31-15-1 since he took the reins. While they can fall asleep as big favorites, I think they'll have success stopping undrafted rookie QB David Blough, who caught the Bears by surprise in the first quarter of his debut but struggled after that. Kirk Cousins and Co. rolled up 503 yards of offense and 42 points in their first game against the Lions, and that defense is still banged up. They can get to the 30s here, and that'll be enough to get us a cover.
The Vikings have not shaken the after-effects of Monday’s loss at Seattle. Dalvin Cook (shoulder) will play, but the No. 3 RB in the league for most touches surely will have a reduced workload. OT Riley Reiff (concussion), who protects Kirk Cousin from the left side, seems doubtful. WR Adam Thielen’s ailing hamstring could extend his rehab. That’s a lot of offensive firepower, and the Vikings do not deserve their status as a nearly two-TD favorite, especially with Detroit off since Turkey Day.
