This is simply a pride game for the Sixers as they look to avoid the four-game sweep ahead of a possible East semifinals matchup and don't have to face either Jaylen Brown or Robert Williams. Joel Embiid could wrap up his first MVP with a 50-burger.
Boston hits the road for the last time this season after having three days off. Philadelphia coach Doc Rivers called out his team after its non-effort against Milwaukee on Sunday. The 76ers are 0-3 against the Celtics this season and should be super-motivated at home. Boston G Jaylen Brown has a 50% chance of playing due to lower-back pain while C Robert Williams (knee) is out. Take the Sixers.
James Harden and the 76ers are literally and figuratively limping into the playoffs while the former MVP is dealing with a variety of lower body injuries. The 76ers would probably prefer to rest Harden down the stretch but they are still fighting for seeding and are reeling having dropped five of their previous eight games. Harden missed four games in March due to an achilles injury and since returning has not looked right, he also ominously stated the injury won't go away until the off-season. Harden is averaging just 28.4 PRA over his previous five games and is shooting just 34% from the field and 22% on three pointers. He is at fade at this number until he proves to be healthy.
