The Warriors have covered one of their last seven home games. They're just not blowing teams out the way they used to (and might again later in the season). Grab the points with LeBron and the Lakers.
This is Lebron James' first meeting as a Laker against the Warriors, the team that beat his Cavaliers three of the past four seasons. It appears to be perfectly scheduled by the NBA for this primetime feature event. Both teams rank in the bottom five against-the-spread. Yet the Warriors are 7-3 (4-6 ATS) since Stephen Curry returned while the Lakers come off a home loss Sunday to the Grizzlies, 107-99. But what can't be ignored here is the Warriors skating by with some wins but not covering five of their last six. Golden State is rated too high. The perfect example was Sunday in a 129-127 home win as 10.5-point favorites against the Clippers, who were playing on back-to-back nights. The Lakers may be a bit overrated themselves, losing three of their last four and going 2-5 ATS in their last seven, but this is too many points.
