The Yankees beat the Tigers four straight times this season before the Tigers picked up a 4-0 win yesterday, first of the season. Detroit's won seven out of their last 10 and they seem to have a second wind after their season looked done when they traded key players while they were still on the hunt. Now apparently the season is still on and playoffs are still a thing and they've got their best pitcher on the mound. Marcus Stroman is on the mound and he's the reason we're betting the over. Stroman has given up 16 runs in his last four starts and all of them went over. Just the over.

Skubal struck out a dozen batters in 6 IP vs NYY earlier this season. Yanks scuffling to score and showing swing and miss and chase lately; weak lineup outside of Judge/Soto. Skubal is over this in 4 straight starts and 6 of 7. He is over this in 7 of his last 9 starts at home, and had 7 Ks in the other two outings. Love him to shine as a Cy Young favorite on the big stage tonite

NYY are just 13-18 vs LH this year and Tarik Skubal, the AL Cy Young favorite who could cement it in prime time Sun, racked up 12K in the Bronx in 6 IP. Skubal is even better in his big home park (2.34 ERA). NYY struggled vs Pale Hose and Tigers on this road trip and been held to 4 runs or less in 5 of last 6 games. Marcus Stroman has a 6.68 ERA since 7/1. Walked 5 in 5 1/3 vs DET earlier this season. Tigers feel frisky to me, with nothing to lose on a big stage. NYY are 17-3 ATS as road dog, so buyer beware of the trend.
