The Rangers have lost 14 of their last 18 games. I assume this line has them favored due to many people liking Max Scherzer over Justin Verlander right now and I'm not going to argue that, but look no further than Scherzer's last outing for why I'm playing the Astros here. Scherzer exited with a 1-0 lead through six and the Rangers' awful bullpen allowed five runs in the next two innings. Scherzer also said his forearm is tired and that's why he didn't push it further than six innings. The Astros have won seven of 10, meanwhile, and are the much better team right now.
