On Friday, the New York Mets will travel for the first time post All-Star break. They will face a divisional opponent in the Miami Marlins that they have had immense success against year over year. As great as Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara has been, the pressure to keep teams under three runs or fewer is immense. Take the Mets.

Chris Bassitt has pitched 6 straight quality starts while Sandy Alcantara has quality starts in 13 of his last 14. However, the Marlins are still missing many key players and the Mets are 7-4 against the Marlins this season. The Mets added key lefties in Daniel Vogelbach, Michael Perez and now Tyler Naquin who should help a lot against Alcantara. I think it’s a close game but I think the Mets pull this out.
