Tarik Skubal hasn’t been pitching that well lately, but he takes on a Padres team that is 21st in the league in wOBA against lefties in July. Yu Darvish has been pitching well lately and I honestly think he’ll dominate in the big Comerica Park. However, the Padres are also resting a couple key players like Eric Hosmer and Nomar Mazara. I like the value in the home dog.

This number already has dipped to 7 at most books so I'm getting value in theory; I know my track record on totals, but a day game at Comerica Park usually means pitchers dominate. Both Yu Darvish and Tarik Skubal are capable of it. Plus, I'm not expecting Manny Machado in the lineup for the Friars after he tweaked his ankle last night and with the team off Thursday (update: he is in the lineup). Looks like the wind is blowing in from right field as well.
