Honestly, its my fault for making a play before the lineups were officially in. I was trying to get the value on the Rays with Manuel Margot still out while assuming Taylor Ward would be back in the lineup after being available off the bench last night. This strategy completely backfired as Margot is out like I expected, but so is Taylor Ward along with Mike Trout. However, it is more than just those two players being out. After winning the first two games of this series, resting these players signals to me that Joe Maddon might not be going all in to win today. I don't think I have ever cancelled out a play because I usually don't make a play on a lineup before it comes out, but this was a weird circumstance. If I could do it over, I just wouldn't make a play on this game. However, I would still rather take the -.3u loss than take a chance on a play I don't like. Lesson learned.
One of the best values in MLB betting is fading a team coming off a no-hitter. That’s a colossal factor for Wednesday, as Angels pitcher Reid Detmers did so in a 12-0 win. Now, megastar Shohei Ohtani will be on the mound for the Angels. Although Los Angeles has dominated with a 23-3 run advantage, Look for Wednesday to be indicative of a game we expect from the Rays as they avoid the sweep.
