It pains me to pick against my White Sox, and they aren't going to lose at home all that often, but they are using a bullpen day behind Jimmy Lambert (who stinks) and that pen is very thin with presumably top setup man Kendall Graveman and closer Liam Hendriks both unavailable having pitched in back-to-back games. In addition, the lineup is arguably the weakest of the season with Eloy Jimenez, Yasmani Grandal and Josh Harrison out and AJ Pollock on IL. Seattle pitcher Logan Gilbert had a solid rookie season in 2021 and was good in his 2022 debut at Minnesota.

Both Kendall Graveman and Liam Hendriks pitched each of the last two days so they should be unavailable for the back of the White Sox bullpen while the Mariners have all their top arms available. Jimmy Lambert is making just his 7th career Major League appearance and 4th start overall and he wasn’t particularly impressive allowing 9 ER in 13 IP last season. Logan Gilbert pitched really well in his first start allowing just 1 ER in 5 IP. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see someone get the day off today for the White Sox. I like the Mariners to avoid the sweep today.
