ANALYSIS: The Nationals' roster was gutted at the trade deadline and they are trotting out RHP Josiah Gray, who just came over from the Los Angeles Dodgers. He's allowed four home runs in eight major-league innings, and this will be his second career start. Philadelphia is going with a closer-turned-starter in LHP Ranger Suarez. I expect him to work two or three innings before turning this into a bullpen battle. Neither of these bullpens have been all that great, but the Nationals' has been worse, and they just traded Daniel Hudson and Brad Hand while the Phillies acquired Ian Kennedy. There's value in taking the team that is still in the postseason race. Back the Phillies.
