The Rockies have had some bad luck on their current road trip with a handful of close losses while also facing Chris Sale of Boston and Aaron Nola of Philadelphia. They have dropped four straight before heading Tuesday to face Pittsburgh, which is coming off a 7-4 road trip. But Pirates starter Chris Archer (1-3, 5.58_ has been ailing and inconsistent. He was roughed up against Arizona in his first start off the injured list. The Rockies should have a prime opportunity Tuesday to get their bats going and the thin price provides more incentive.
