Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Martin W. Green and Calvin Wetzel on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get highlighted plays for MLB, WNBA and soccer for Wednesday, Aug. 24, and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.
Coach starts things off with the SportsLine play of the day: Under 7 runs in the A's-Marlins game (3:37 p.m. ET). "This cashes in 57 percent of our simulations," he says.
Wetzel has two plays from the Sun-Wings playoff game (9 p.m. ET). The first is the Sun (-1.5) to cover the first quarter spread. "This is a veteran crew that loves to bounce back," he says.
He also likes Over 10.5 points for the Sun's DeWanna Bonner. "To me this [line] is a massive overreaction to how the first two games of the series went," he says.
Coach then chimes in with two Cash With The Coach plays. The first is the Braves (-0.5) to cover the first five innings (-150) against the Pirates (12:35 p.m. ET). "[Braves starter Kyle Wright] is solid," he says. "On the other side, Mitch Keller is not solid."
He also likes the Rockies (-140) to cover the run line against the Rangers (3:10 p.m. ET). "There is just something about [the Rockies] at home that I love," he says.
Green closes out the show with two plays from the UEFA Champions League. The first is a parlay: PSV to win and PSV Team Total to go Over 1.5 goals (-110) against Rangers (3 p.m. ET). "PSV have been crazy this season, 5.16 goals per game on average," he says.
His final play is Dinamo Zagreb (-125) to beat Bodø/Glimt (3 p.m. ET). "[Zagreb] have an excellent home record," he says.
