A battle between NL East foes has the Philadelphia Phillies (55-48) and the Atlanta Braves (63-41) matching up on Wednesday afternoon, with the first pitch set for 12:20 p.m. ET. Atlanta is listed as the -140 favorite (risk $140 to win $100) on the money line in the latest Phillies vs. Braves odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total runs scored is 7.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our MLB odds page).
Before making any Phillies vs. Braves picks, you NEED to check out the MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it enters Week 18 on a 20-14 roll on top-rated MLB picks, returning almost $400 for $100 players. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win it all last season. Anybody who has followed it has seen profitable returns.
The model knows Philadelphia catcher J.T. Realmuto is an all-around threat behind the plate. Realmuto is a potent hitter who has great bat speed. The 31-year-old owns smooth instincts defensively with a strong throwing arm. He knows how to call a solid game and keep his pitchers on top of their game. Realmuto is hitting .262 with 10 home runs and 46 RBI.
The model also knows Atlanta right-hander Charlie Morton is on the hill. Morton has a lengthy frame (6'5, 215 pounds) and has a varied arsenal. The 38-year-old can go deep into games when he's in a groove and pile up strikeouts. Morton knows how to maintain command on the mound and ranks 15th in the league in strikeouts (126).
Now, the model has set its sights on Phillies vs. Braves. We can tell you the model is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the money line has ALL the value. You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any MLB picks.
