Labor Day annually marks the unofficial end of summer, which means the 2026-27 NHL season is right around the corner. Training camps open this week and the campaign begins Sept. 29 with a five-game schedule.
Two of those contests feature Western Conference teams, with the Vancouver Canucks visiting the Edmonton Oilers and the defending conference champion Vegas Golden Knights hosting the Chicago Blackhawks.
