NFL Week 5 ATS power ratings: How Lamar Jackson injury affects spread, plus ranking all 32 teams
It appears that Jackson is unlikely to play this week, causing a massive swing in the spread after Atlanta's dominant win Monday

The Ravens are trending toward facing a resurgent Falcons team on Sunday night without Lamar Jackson after the star quarterback suffered an ankle injury in Week 4. On the lookahead line released prior to Week 4 action, the Ravens were six-point favorites in Atlanta, but the injury, combined with the Falcons offense dominating for a second straight game, pushed the line to Falcons -2.5 in the initial wake of a report Tuesday saying Jackson only had an "outside chance" to play this week.
The adjustment is a fair one considering Jackson is an MVP-caliber quarterback, while backup Tyler Huntley has been a capable game manager when called upon by the Ravens over the years, going 5-6 in 11 career starts with Baltimore. With Jackson, I would've had the Ravens as a +6 team this week in my power ratings, which would've been third in the NFL, and there's an argument for it being slightly higher. Without him, I've made the Ravens two points below average, which places them tied for 19th in the league.
Below, I'll share my Week 5 spread power ratings and go step by step through those notable adjustments. Then, we'll look at my projected spreads for every game, see where we differ from the market, and try to ascertain why those discrepancies exist.
