Last week, I talked about avoiding putting the Bills in my five best bets for the Circa Million due to how much the line had moved from the preseason to Week 3. Sure enough, the Bills turned the ball over five times, yet the Chargers had so little life that Buffalo covered anyway. That made the Bills play a missed opportunity, and moving forward, I'm going to focus less on what lines were before the season.
This week, there are three games squarely on the key number of 3, and I like one side in each. However, none of them are going to make it into my contest plays. With pushes counting for a half-point, my rule is that I would have to still want to put the play on my card with another half-point less of value -- for example, if I were going to take Texans -3, I would've had to be ready to make Texans -3.5 a top-five play as well.
