Congrats to the lucky few who still find themselves alive for Week 17 NFL survivor pools as half of the teams are now off the board. These are more than likely the elite teams that you can no longer utilize for Week 17 NFL knockout picks, unless you were very strategic with your earlier selections. Perhaps, you can get behind a surging team like the Buccaneers, who have won four in a row, as they take on the Saints on Sunday? What other teams should you consider and would best position your NFL survivor pools to make it to the league's final week?
Before you make your Week 17 NFL survivor picks, you NEED to see which team the SportsLine Projection Model is backing.
The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up well over $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 17 of the 2023 NFL season on an incredible 178-129 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. It is also on a 32-21 roll on top-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of last season.
The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP!
The model can be used to crush the Survivor Pool format, which calls for picking one team to win each week but never using the same team twice.
In Week 17 of the 2023 NFL season, we can tell you the model is shying away from the Falcons, even though at 7-8 they have a better record than the opponent Bears (6-9). Chicago has won three of its last four games, and the team has unleashed Justin Fields as a runner since he returned from injury. Over the last five games, Fields has averaged nearly 70 rushing yards per contest, and the Bears defense is also doing its part, forcing 14 turnovers over his stretch. Meanwhile, the Falcons' offense struggles when outside Atlanta as they've scored 20 total points over their last two road games, which were against subpar teams in the Panthers and Jets. The Falcons have a more formiddable foe this time around, so the model is steering clear of them with Week 17 NFL knockout pools.
Instead, the model is backing a team that has lots of motivation versus a Week 17 opponent that has little to play for! Picking this team will put you in the optimal position to win your NFL survivor pool this week. You NEED to see which team the model is backing before locking in your NFL survivor picks!
