One of the top wideouts in the league while with the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills during his first nine seasons in the NFL, Diggs is with his third team in as many years and turns 33 years old in November. But he leads Washington on targets, receptions and receiving yards after two games and entered Week 3 as one of five receivers in the league with three or more touchdown catches this campaign.
Diggs was known as a big-play receiver over his first 10 years in the NFL, as he had receptions of at least 40 yards each season. His longest while with the New England Patriots in 2025 was 34 yards, and he hasn't finished with a catch of more than 20 yet this year.
Recording a reception of that length could be quite the challenge for Diggs on Sunday. In addition to Mariota starting in place of Daniels, the Commanders are facing the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, whose defense is No. 1 against the pass this season with an average of 124.5 yards allowed.
Mariota certainly will be looking in Diggs' direction often when he drops back to throw in Week 3. For Sunday's matchup between the Commanders and Seahawks, top sportsbooks have set the passing yards prop for Mariota at 170.5 yards and the receiving yards prop for Diggs at 33.5. But will they connect for substantial gains?
