Week 1 of the 2026 NFL preseason kicked off on Thursday and rolls into Friday with a three-game slate. All three matchups have teams expected to have new starting quarterbacks, and how these old faces perform in new places could have a bearing on your NFL DFS strategy. Falcons vs. Broncos will see Tua Tagovailoa under center for Atlanta, Jets vs. Buccaneers has Geno Smith back at QB for New York, and Dolphins vs. Commanders will see Malik Willis making his Miami debut.
Playing time for proven veterans often varies from team-to-team during preseason, so you should definitely be aware of which backups log action when making preseason NFL DFS picks as all three games unfold at 7 p.m. ET.
Before locking in any NFL DFS lineups for the Week 1 NFL preseason schedule on Friday on sites like DraftKings (every player is $5,500) and FanDuel (every player is $6,000), you NEED to see what SportsLine's R.J. White has to say.

One of White's top NFL DFS picks for Friday is Broncos QB Sam Ehlinger. He's also building around Commanders receiver Antonio Williams, a third-round rookie who should get lots of snaps as opposed to proven vets Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs.
White is also targeting another under-the-radar player for Friday's matchup who could post HUGE numbers and carry your lineups to victory! His NFL DFS picks could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing!
