The NBA returns with Opening Night 2026 on Tuesday. The action begins with a matinee matchup between the Celtics and Pistons at 3 p.m. ET, followed by 76ers vs. Knicks at 7 p.m. ET and Spurs vs. Thunder serving as the nightcap at 9:30 p.m. ET.
Some of the most expensive players in the NBA DFS player pool include Cade Cunningham, Victor Wembanyama, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Maxey. Daily Fantasy basketball players must all decide how to value Philadelphia newcomers LeBron James and Jaylen Brown, who are set to debut on Tuesday.
Before making any NBA DFS picks on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel for this slate, you need to see what Mike McClure has to say.
McClure is a DFS professional with over $2 million in career winnings. He's also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.
This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any NBA DFS player.
For Opening Night, one of McClure's top NBA DFS picks is Thunder forward Chet Holmgren at $5,900 on DraftKings and $6,800 on FanDuel. He's also building around Pistons center Jalen Duren ($6,500 on DraftKings, $6,600 on FanDuel), who should post even bigger numbers this season with Tobias Harris and Isaiah Stewart no longer in Detroit.
McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Tuesday! This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You absolutely need to see who it is before locking in any lineups.
