The Championship 4 in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs will be finalized Sunday in the 2022 Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Raceway. Only Joey Logano is assured a spot in next week's championship battle at Phoenix, thanks to his victory in Las Vegas two weeks ago. The final three spots will be set Sunday, with Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott and William Byron in position to advance entering the Xfinity 500. Denny Hamlin is just five points behind Byron, with Ryan Blaney (-18 points), Christopher Bell (-33) and Chase Briscoe (-44) also in the final eight.
Elliott is the +625 favorite in the latest 2022 Dixie Vodka 400 odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Hamlin (+700), Byron (+750), Blaney (+800) and Logano (+850) are all close behind. The green flag drops on 2022 NASCAR at Martinsville at 2 p.m. ET.
Before making any 2022 Xfinity 500 picks, you NEED to see what SportsLine's Micah Roberts has to say. A former Vegas bookmaker, Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting and now hands out NASCAR winners to his followers on SportsLine.
Roberts is the nation's premier NASCAR betting expert, and his top pick, Elliott, won the YellaWood 500 to ckick off this month at 12-1 odds. He also correctly predicted Elliott to win the Jockey Made in America 250 last season, nailed the 2021 Coca-Cola 600 winner by hitting Kyle Larson's victory at 11-2 odds and was on point by targeting Elliott as the winner of the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix at 8-5 odds the previous week. In addition, Roberts nailed last year's GEICO 500 when he predicted Brad Keselowski to win at 14-1 odds. Anyone who has followed his picks has cashed tickets.
Now, Roberts has analyzed the NASCAR at Martinsville 2022 starting grid for Sunday's Xfinity 500. We can tell you he's fading Hamlin, even though he is the second favorite and the active leader in victories at Martinsville. The NextGen car has just been "horrible for him on the smaller tracks this season," Roberts says, and the expert has Hamlin barely cracking the top five!
However, Roberts is high on a HUGE longshot who has an excellent history on the track and has a real chance to win at MASSIVE 50-1 odds! This overlooked driver is a short-track veteran who is being underestimated by oddsmakers, and anyone who backs him could have a BIG payday! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before making any picks.
So who wins the 2022 Xfinity 500 on Sunday? And which ENORMOUS long shot is a MUST-BACK? ... Join SportsLine right now to see the full projected leaderboard for the 2022 Xfinity 500, all from the nation's premier NASCAR betting expert!
