Mexico vs. USMNT odds, picks, predictions: Best bets for Tuesday's international friendly from soccer expert

SportsLine's soccer expert Brandt Sutton has locked in his best bets for the USMNT vs. Mexico match

The United States Men's National team visits Mexico in a highly-anticipated international friendly match on Tuesday. These teams haven't seen each other since the Concacaf Nations League tournament earlier this year, when the Americans clean-sheeted El Tri in consecutive matches. The USMNT most recently defeated Panama 2-0, while Mexico hasn't played since a scoreless draw against Canada last month.

Kickoff at Estadio Akron is set for 10:30 p.m. ET. The hosts are +105 favorites (risk $100 to win $105) in the latest Mexico vs. USMNT odds, while the Americans are +250 underdogs. A 90-minute draw is priced at +210 and the over/under for goals is 2.5. (For more soccer coverage, click here).

Before you lock in your Mexico vs. USMNT picks or predictions, you need to see what proven soccer expert Brandt Sutton has to say.

Sutton, a former collegiate soccer player, has been SportsLine's top soccer editor for more than six years. He has followed soccer closely for much longer and factors in managerial tactics, projected lineups and past performances to make the most-informed decisions possible, keeping his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

Sutton was SportsLine's top soccer expert in 2022 with a 165-130-2 mark with his soccer picks, returning nearly $2,200 for $100 players. He was also profitable across multiple leagues in 2023, including the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, Europa League and more..

The expert knows that Mexico has not fared well in this matchup in recent years. El Tri could get a bit of relief in this game with five USMNT players departing the USMNT this week, including AC Milan star and lead USMNT goal-scorer Christian Pulisic. Mexico has one win and two draws over its last three games but also failed to score in each draw. Javier Aguirre's team has the Nations League quarterfinals coming up in November, and Tuesday match is their final tune-up.

Sutton also notes that the Americans have extra motivation to impress their own manager. They dominated possession in Mauricio Pochettino's first game as manager and kept Panama from finding the back of the net. The U.S. also got goal help from midfielder Yunus Musah, and they will look to him to help keep the momentum going against a Mexico team they outscored 5-0 over their last two meetings.

For Tuesday, Sutton has taken an in-depth look at the Mexico vs. USMNT matchup. He has released a confident best bet and is offering a full breakdown of this international friendly match. You ABSOLUTELY need to see his picks and analysis before making any selections of your own.
