The model knows New York first baseman Pete Alonso is off to a great start for the Mets. Alonso has outstanding power in his swing, spraying the ball all across the yard. The two-time All-Star selection is tied for first in the MLB in home runs (8) and tied for ninth in RBI (15). Alonso heads into this affair on a six-game hitting streak.
The model also knows Los Angeles third baseman Max Muncy owns tremendous plate discipline and pitch recognition skills. Muncy has the strength to consistently smack homers. The 32-year-old is currently tied for third in home runs (7) and tied for ninth in runs driven in (15). On April 14 against the Chicago Cubs, he went 2-of-4 with a solo home run.
