The Miami Marlins visit the Philadelphia Phillies for an NL East clash at 1:05 p.m. ET on Thursday. Philadelphia is listed as a -170 favorite (risk $170 to win $100) at Caesars Sportsbook, while the Over-Under is set at eight (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our MLB odds page).
Before making any Marlins vs. Phillies picks, you NEED to check out the MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it is 299-254 on top-rated MLB money-line picks since the start of the 2021 season, returning over $800 for $100 players. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win it all last season. Anybody who has followed it has seen profitable returns.
The model knows the Marlins lead the NL in stolen bases, showcasing tremendous team speed. On the run prevention side, Miami will deploy Edward Cabrera on the mound, and the 24-year-old is enjoying success this season. Cabrera has a 2.61 ERA and a 1.065 WHIP. He's averaging 10 strikeouts per nine innings. Opponents have a .544 OPS against Cabrera, and he threw five shutout innings in his last outing.
The model also knows the Phillies have the superior offense in this matchup. Philadelphia ranks in the top three of the National League in home runs and slugging percentage. Kyle Schwarber is the top producer for the Phillies, leading the NL in home runs, and he also ranks near the top of the league in walks and extra-base hits. The Phillies also rank in the top five of the league in runs scored, batting average, OPS, and total bases.
Now, it has set its sights on Marlins vs. Phillies. We can tell you the model is leaning over the total, and it also says one team has ALL the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any MLB picks.
