Yankee Stadium hosts an American League battle between the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners at 1:05 p.m. ET on Wednesday. New York is listed as a -178 favorite (risk $178 to win $100) at Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under is set at 7 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our MLB odds page). Before making any Mariners vs. Yankees picks, you NEED to check out the MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it enters Week 18 on a 20-14 roll on top-rated MLB picks, returning almost $400 for $100 players. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win it all last season. Anybody who has followed it has seen profitable returns.
The model knows the Mariners are patient at the plate. Seattle is a top-three team in drawing walks, and the Mariners are above-average in home runs, triples, and on-base percentage. On the mound, Luis Castillo will make his first start since joining Seattle via trade. Castillo, a two-time All-Star, has a 2.86 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP this season and a 1.59 ERA in his last five outings.
The model also knows New York has the best record in baseball. Powerful offense is part of that mix, with the Yankees leading the AL in runs scored, home runs, slugging percentage, and total bases. New York also leads the league in on-base percentage and has a top-three mark in stolen bases. Aaron Judge is on pace to set the AL record in home runs, and he leads the league in runs scored, RBI, slugging percentage, and total bases.
Now, it has set its sights on Mariners vs. Yankees. We can tell you the model is leaning over the total, and it also says one team has all the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any MLB picks.
