Liberty vs. Kennesaw State odds, line, spread: Computer model reveals college football picks, predictions for Week 9, 2024

SportsLine's advanced computer model has simulated Kennesaw State vs. Liberty on Wednesday 10,000 times

The Liberty Flames look to become bowl eligible when they take on the Kennesaw State Owls in Conference USA action Wednesday night on CBS Sports Network. Liberty is coming off a 31-24 overtime win over Florida International on Oct. 8, while Kennesaw State dropped a 14-5 decision at Middle Tennessee State on Oct. 15. The Flames (5-0, 3-0 C-USA), who are 11-0 all-time in league play after winning the C-USA title in their first season in 2023, are 1-0 on the road this year. The Owls (0-6, 0-2 C-USA), who are in their first season in the conference, are 0-3 on their home field in 2024 and are just one of two winless teams in FBS.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at Fifth Third Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga. Liberty has won two of the previous three meetings. The Flames are 25.5-point favorites in the latest Liberty vs. Kennesaw State odds, while the over/under for total points scored is 47.

Before making any Liberty vs. Kennesaw State picks, check out the college football predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model knows the Flames, who are trying to become bowl eligible for the sixth consecutive season, are led by junior quarterback Kaidon Salter. He has completed 75 of 119 passes (63%) for 1,074 yards and seven touchdowns. He has been intercepted once and has a rating of 156.6. He has also been dangerous in the running game, carrying 52 times for 191 yards (3.7 average) and two touchdowns. In the win over FIU, he passed for just 125 yards, but added 12 carries for 60 yards and two touchdowns.

The model also has taken into account that the Owls are led by senior running back Michael Benefield. He had a career-high 112 yards rushing in Week 6 against Jacksonville State, and became the first Kennesaw State player to surpass 100 yards rushing this season. Last season, Benefield became the only player in program history with four consecutive 100-yard rushing games. For the season, he has 59 carries for 242 yards (4.1 average) and one touchdown.

The model has simulated Liberty vs. Kennesaw State 10,000 times and the results are in. We can tell you the model is leaning Over on the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 60% of simulations!
