I've ranked all 32 teams as potential Super Bowl 2026 bets, and now it's time to do the same in each division. Last year, I ranked each division top to bottom by how much I liked each team's odds to win the division, and then I put together a betting strategy for the bets I thought were worth making. The strategy made over 3.5 units on six total bets, with the biggest longshot hit being the Rams at +360 to take home the NFC West.
I'm going to tweak how I do things in this article this year. First, I'll share the ranking of the eight division winners I believe make up the best bets in this futures category. Then, I'll go division by division and rank all four teams in each while explaining why the team ranked first is my best bet for that division. For each team, I'm taking their best price at four major sportsbooks, but odds are subject to change. My group of division winners includes one surprise longshot that the market is only giving about a 10-15% chance of finishing first.
One other thing I can reveal: only four favorites are among my division winner best bets, as the odds in the market at this point suggest taking bigger swings is the optimal strategy. That includes the AFC South, which I believe is more wide open than the market is projecting by making the Texans around even odds to repeat as champs. Some of my division winner best bets are not straight predictions of who will come out on top -- I'm looking for the teams I believe have the best chances of winning relative to their odds. The best example is the NFC East, where I believe the Eagles are the best team, but a tough schedule makes them not worth backing at their optimal price of -130.
