Hunt knows that Florida State redshirt junior Jordan Travis starts at quarterback. Last season, Travis completed 122 of 194 passes (62.9 percent) for 1,539 yards and 15 touchdowns, while being picked off six times. Travis was also a weapon on the ground, carrying 134 times for 530 yards (4.0 average) and seven touchdowns. In four seasons, including his freshman season at Louisville, Travis has thrown for 2,745 yards and 22 touchdowns against 13 interceptions.
Hunt also knows that Duquesne has a solid one-two punch in the offensive backfield. The Dukes return second-team All-NEC selection Billy Lucas, and welcomes Samford graduate transfer DeMarcus Ware at running back. Lucas led the team with 699 yards rushing on 137 carries (5.1 average) with six touchdowns. He posted over 100 yards rushing twice, including a season high with 137 yards at Long Island to earn NEC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
