Fantasy football 2026: Waiver claims to consider following Week 3 NFL slate
SportsLine fantasy analyst Josh Nagel gives his weekly free-agent recommendations for redraft leagues

Numerous injuries to key players marked Week 3 of the 2026 NFL season, forcing their real-life coaches to adjust on the fly and fantasy managers to scramble for replacements.
Key losses include an apparent season-ending injury for Dolphins running back De'Von Achane, while Breece Hall of the Jets also suffered an injury and Saints RB Travis Etienne left Sunday's game against the Raiders with a hamstring ailment. Justin Jefferson of the Vikings headlines the receiver injury list, while Panthers breakout receiver Jalen Coker also went down and Mike Evans of the 49ers continues to struggle with a rib strain.
The loss of these players makes this a crucial week for waiver wire claims. Below, we will look at possible waiver wire claims heading into Week 4. Many leagues use the Free Agency Acquisition Budget (FAAB) to bid on players. Because this is the more standard practice in competitive leagues, we will give our recommendations based on FAAB suggestions but will also address those who use waiver priority settings. Our advice will cater to full PPR settings, along with 4 points per passing touchdown. For those who use different settings, these suggestions should transfer somewhat laterally, but adjust your rankings as you see fit according to your league's criteria.
Suggested players must have a roster share of 65% percent or less in CBS leagues as of Monday morning to qualify for this piece. All roster percentages will be listed alongside the players.
