A receiver needs targets in order to be productive in Fantasy football. If a receiver isn't seeing his share of targets, his Fantasy value plummets. And before you make any kind of roster move involving a wide receiver, tight end or running back who is heavily featured in the passing attack ahead of Week 14, you'll want to see Jody Smith's analysis and breakdown of each team's passing attack.
Smith has been working in the Fantasy industry for many years and has contributed to virtually every meaningful publication and website in the industry. He was also named The Most Accurate Expert for the 2012 NFL season at FantasyPros.com.
One thing we can tell you from his breakdown ahead of Week 14: Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton has made himself Fantasy relevant once again.
"T.Y. Hilton tormented Houston's short-handed secondary. In 9 career visits to NRG Stadium, Hilton has averaged 9.2 targets, 5.7 receptions, 117.3 yards, and scored eight touchdowns," Smith told SportsLine. "This was Hilton's second-straight solid fantasy outing after being marred in a season-long slump. A Week 14 trip to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders' 20th-ranked secondary gives Hilton good odds of producing another WR3 performance."
Smith has also identified a receiver who got double-digit targets last week, but could be due for some regression as he faces potential shadow coverage from one of the league's best cornerbacks. You ABSOLUTELY need to see his data and analysis before setting your Fantasy lineups.
So which wide receivers can you trust moving forward? And which receiver who received a ton of volume in Week 14 could be due for regression? ...
