Before setting your Week 20 Fantasy baseball lineups, you need to see what our advanced computer model has to say. When it comes to ranking players, the model beat human experts in Fantasy football last season when there were big differences in ranking. And the model was closest-to-the-hole overall, meaning it best pinpointed where every player would finish each week.
Last week, the model was extremely high on Royals first baseman Hunter Dozier, saying he'd finish No. 7 at his position despite a market ranking of 20th. The result: Dozier has an OPS of 1.297 with two home runs and four RBI this so far in Week 20. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on their way to a huge week.
Now the model, which simulates every pitch and every at-bat 10,000 times, has revealed its rankings for Week 21 (Aug. 12-18).
For Week 21, we can tell you Royals second baseman Whit Merrifield, the second-best player at his position according to market value, stumbles big-time and barely cracks the top 20. He's a player to consider putting on the bench this week.
One player the model is high on this week: Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun. The model ranks Urshela as the No. 11 outfielder for Week 21 even though he's owned in just 51 percent of leagues. He's a player you can start with confidence this week.
The model is also calling for a surprising catcher you aren't even thinking about to finish in the top five of its Week 21 rankings! This pick could be the difference between winning BIG and going home with nothing. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before locking in your lineups.
So who should you sit and start in Week 21? And what surprising catcher could lead you to Fantasy glory? ... Join SportsLine now to get Fantasy baseball rankings for every single position, and see which surprising catcher comes out of nowhere to crack the top five, all from the model that out-performed experts big time last season!
