The Los Angeles Dodgers (87-38) and Miami Marlins (55-71) meet in the third of a four-game series on Sunday. The Dodgers have played well on the road, compiling an MLB-best 42-22 record away from home, while the Marlins are 26-34 at home. First pitch from loanDepot park in Miami is set for 12:05 p.m. ET. Los Angeles is listed as a -267 favorite (risk $267 to win $100) on the money line in the latest Dodgers vs. Marlins odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total runs scored is 7 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our MLB odds page).
Before making any Dodgers vs. Marlins picks, you NEED to check out the MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it is a 305-263 on top-rated MLB money-line picks since the start of the 2021 season. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win it all last season. Anybody who has followed it has seen profitable returns.
The model knows Los Angeles will send left-hander Julio Urias (13-7, 2.36 ERA) to the mound. Urias has won six of his last seven starts, and gave up just one earned run and two hits in six innings in taking a loss at Milwaukee on Monday. He struck out seven while walking just one. He has not allowed more than two earned runs in each of his last seven starts. For the year, Urias has struck out 130 batters, while walking 27 with a WHIP of 0.96.
The model also knows Miami infielder Joey Wendle has had the hot bat in the series, going 4-for-9 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. For the season, he is batting .254 with two homers, 27 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has been especially effective in his home ballpark, with 11 doubles and 10 RBIs with a .345 slugging percentage. He also has enjoyed a lot of success this season in day games, hitting .316 with eight doubles, one triple, one homer and 11 RBIs.
Now, the model has set its sights on Dodgers vs. Marlins. We can tell you the model is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the money line has ALL the value. You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any MLB picks.
