Derrick Henry led the NFL in rushing yardage in 2019. Is he worth a top Fantasy pick in 2020?

In the middle of 2018, Derrick Henry was quickly falling out of favor in Tennessee's backfield and was even the subject of some trade rumors. He was on the bench for most Fantasy players at that point, but a late-season surge that year then led to an explosion in 2019 as he led the league in carries (303), rushing yards (1,540) and tied for the league lead in rushing touchdowns (16). Where should he be in your 2020 Fantasy football rankings, and what Derrick Henry Fantasy football outlook can you expect?

The Titans used the franchise tag on Henry this offseason as they continue to negotiate a potential long-term deal. He's expected to remain a centerpiece in a Tennessee offense that re-signed quarterback Ryan Tannehill and used its first-round pick on 350-pound mauler Isaiah Wilson at right tackle,  a run-blocking specialist.

The 2020 Derrick Henry Fantasy football value remains strong, as he's set for another 300-carry campaign. He's undoubtedly a first-round candidate in most formats, but how high should he be in your 2020 Fantasy football rankings? Here's what you need to know:

    Derrick Henry 2020 Fantasy outlook

A durable, explosive back who has the rare combination of breakaway speed and goal-line prowess and is fortunate to play in one of the most ground-centric offenses in the NFL, Henry remains a safe pick near the top of the first round in 2020 Fantasy football drafts.

The re-signing of veteran tackle Dennis Kelly and the addition of Wilson through the draft should help relieve fears of too much of an offensive line setback without Conklin.

A limited threat as a receiver, Henry isn't quite the same value in PPR leagues, and that role should continue after the Titans drafted speedster Darryton Evans out of Appalachian State to replace the mostly-ineffective Dion Lewis as Tennessee's third-down back.

Keep an eye on Henry's contract situation and the possibility of a holdout as well. He'll undoubtedly want to be paid as one of the league's premier backs, but will the Titans be willing to giving him the same type of money that McCaffrey and Ezekiel Elliot got long term?
