Celtics vs. Mavericks odds, line: Proven NBA expert discloses his picks for Game 4 of 2024 NBA Finals

Legendary handicapper Bruce Marshall reveals his picks for the Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks

The Boston Celtics will look to close out their record 18th NBA championship when they take on the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of the 2024 NBA Finals at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Friday. Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. The Celtics are 1-point favorites, and the over/under for total points scored is 210.5 in the latest Celtics vs. Mavericks odds from the SportsLine consensus. Boston is at -113 on the money line (risk $113 to win $100). Kristaps Porzingis (leg) is listed as questionable for the Celtics.

Before you make any Celtics vs. Mavericks picks for Game 4 of the 2024 NBA Finals, you NEED to see what legendary handicapper Bruce Marshall has to say.

Marshall, who for years was synonymous with the Gold Sheet, a famed sports betting newsletter, is an in-demand guest on numerous sports talk radio and TV shows across the country. Marshall's vast array of editorial work has been featured in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the New York Post and many other outlets. Marshall knows Dallas point guard Luka Doncic poured in 27 points and added six boards and six assists in Wednesday's Game 3 loss. Doncic has been on fire this postseason, and has two triple-doubles over the past five games. He had a 30-plus point streak end at three games, but has surpassed the 30-point total 10 times this postseason. In 20 playoff games, all starts, Doncic is averaging 28.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.8 steals in 41.2 minutes of action.

He is also aware Boston small forward Jayson Tatum helped make up for the loss of center Kristaps Porzingis, who missed Game 3 due to injury and is again listed as questionable. Tatum poured in 31 points, while adding six rebounds and five assists. Prior to that, he had posted four consecutive double-doubles in a row, including 18 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds in Game 2. He had 16 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and one block in the series opener. He has played well against Dallas and in two regular-season games this year, he averaged 35.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, four assists, 1.5 steals and one block.
