Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell had already handed out all of the game balls and passed out all of the plaudits after his team's 9-3 upset win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday. All he needed to do was to find a way to conclude his locker room speech. O'Connell decided to do so by asking a question.
"You know what I think this team has in them?" he asked. "I think you're a bunch of winners. And I think you're going to find a way. Now, can we go stack it, stack it, stack it, 17 plus [weeks]?"
The Vikings are 2-0 after victories over NFC North rivals Green Bay and Chicago to begin the season. They have won their first two games despite starting quarterback Kyler Murray having thrown just five passes (before leaving Week 1 with a concussion) and an offense averaging just 242.5 yards per game, the worst in the entire NFL. They are now the +200 favorites to win the division, +1500 to win the NFC and +3500 to win the Super Bowl.
