Reigning Horse of the Year Sovereignty will look to end his racing career in style when he leaves the starting gate in the 2026 Breeders' Cup Classic on Saturday at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky. Set to be retired after the Classic, Sovereignty has seven wins in 12 career starts, including last year's Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes and Travers Stakes. He is coming off a victory in the Grade 1 Whitney Stakes at Saratoga on Aug. 8. For Saturday, Sovereignty has been installed as the 5-2 second choice in the 2026 Breeders' Cup Classic odds, just behind morning-line favorite and defending champion Forever Young.
Knightsbridge (9-2), Golden Tempo (5-1) and The Puma (10-1) round out the top five choices on the odds board among the seven Breeders' Cup Classic horses. Post time is 6:16 p.m. ET.
