The NFL released the full 2025 schedule on Wednesday, and Week 1 is littered with plenty of intriguing matchups. The Eagles open the season by hosing the Cowboys in the Thursday night kickoff, while the Chiefs debut in Brazil against the Chargers the following night. Sunday will see NFC North rivals square off when the Packers host the Lions, and a potential Aaron Rodgers Bowl is in place with the Steelers on the road to face the Jets in Week 1. A massive battle between Super Bowl contenders kicks off Sunday Night Football when the Bills host the Ravens, and Monday Night Football closes out Week 1 with another NFC North matchup as the Ben Johnson-led Bears host the Vikings, who may be debuting 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy at quarterback.

Sportsbooks have posted odds for Week 1, and half of the matchups have spreads of three points or less at DraftKings Sportsbook, while only three have spreads higher than 4.5. The biggest favorites of the week are the Commanders (-7.5) hosting the Giants and the Broncos (-7.5) hosting the Titans, while the defending champion Eagles (-7) are just behind in their battle with the Cowboys. The aforementioned Sunday night and Monday night matchups are two of the tightest spreads on the board.

I have dug through the spreads and compared them to my power ratings spread projections to find four games that qualify as best bets for me on the fresh lines posted by sportsbooks, which I'll share below. These are all games I expect to move over the summer, so now is the best time to lock in these bets if possible.
