The 2025 LIV Golf season gets underway with a night time event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This will be an event like any other considering that all three rounds will begin at night, with the champion crowned around midnight local time. Riyadh Golf Club is the site for this event, a par-72 course that plays at more than 7,400 yards. With plenty of sand, water and undulating fairways, the players will be in for a unique test also considering the event will be played under the lights. The Asian Tour's PIF Saudi International event was played here in December, won by LIV member Joaquin Niemann.
Of the 13 individual events played on the LIV circuit last year, eight were won by golfers with odds of +2000 or under. The elite golfers tend to do quite well in these events. Englishman Tyrrell Hatton is the favorite at +600 odds followed by Jon Rahm (+650), Bryson DeChambeau (+750), Joaquin Niemann (+800), with Brooks Koepka and Cameron Smith at +1600.

We know Rahm is phenomenal in LIV events, with 12 top-10 finishes, including two victories, in the 12 tournaments he completed in 2024. But in his first competitive event since October, the Dubai Desert Invitational in January, the Spaniard missed the cut after losing more than 4.5 strokes putting. He probably will play well based on his LIV track record (-170 for a top-10 finish) but I absolutely can't advocate betting a player at these outright odds with the lack of recent experience under his belt."
