The road to the FedEx Cup Playoffs makes its way through Blaine, Minn., this week for the 2024 3M Open beginning on Thursday at TPC Twin Cities. After next week's Wyndham Championship, the top 70 players in the standings will qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Past 3M champion Tony Finau, who ranks 15th in the FedEx Cup standings, is the +1100 favorite in the 3M Open odds. Sam Burns is the +1800 second choice in the odds among the 156 3M Open players. Sahith Theegala (+2000), Akshay Bhatia (+2200) and Luke Clanton (+2800) round out the top five on the PGA odds board. Lee Hodges is the defending 3M Open champion, but he's going off as a 70-1 longshot to repeat. Play gets underway from TPC Twin Cities on Thursday at 7:45 a.m. ET.
Before locking in any 2024 3M Open picks, make sure you see the PGA Tour predictions and best bets from golf betting and fantasy expert Sia Nejad.
Nejad specializes in betting and DFS in golf, among other sports. He's had incredible success in the outright and first-round leader markets and in betting head-to-head matchups. He also has been strong with his head-to-head matchups since last year's Charles Schwab Challenge, going 52-37-5 and returning 11.67 units over that span.
Nejad also nailed 75-1 longshot Wyndham Clark as the outright winner at the Wells Fargo Championship in 2023. The same year, SportsLine debuted The Early Wedge, and in the first three months of the show, he hit two first-round leaders and three outright winners.
Now, Nejad has been digging into the 2024 3M Open field to find the best value and just locked in his best bets and favorites to avoid.
One surprise: Nejad is fading Sahith Theegala, even though he is the third choice in the odds at +2000. Another curveball: Nejad is high on J.T. Poston, who is +3500 in the 3M Open odds. "His history at TPC Twin Cities is excellent," Nejad told SportsLine. "He is a prime candidate to be there on Sunday."
Nejad is also jumping on a longshot who's priced at more than +5000. This player "grades out very well in the approach department" and could surprise. You ABSOLUTELY need to see whom it is before locking in any 2024 3M Open picks of your own.
So which 2024 3M Open players should you target or avoid, and which HUGE longshot could bring a huge payday of more than +5000? ... Join SportsLine right now to see Sia Nejad's picks for the 2024 3M Open, all from the expert who is 52-37-5 on his last 94 golf head-to-head picks!
