Nottingham Forest host winless Burnley on Monday at City Ground as the English Premier League sides look to build some momentum coming off the international break. Forest (2-0-2) got some time to relish their impressive 1-0 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their most recent match on Sept. 2. Meanwhile, Burney (0-0-3) surely used the time to shore up a defense that has them staring at the possibility of heading back right down to the Championship.
Kickoff at City Ground in West Bridgford, England is set for 2:45 p.m. ET. Forest are +125 favorites (risk $100 to win $125) in the latest Nottingham Forest vs. Burnley odds, while Burnley are +215 underdogs. A draw is priced at +235 and the over/under for total goals scored is 2.5. (For more soccer coverage, click here.)
Before you lock in your Burnley vs. Nottingham Forest picks or English Premier League predictions, you NEED to see what SportsLine's soccer expert Martin Green has to say.
After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since last year's Men's World Cup, Green has been profitable in multiple areas on his soccer picks, including the Champions League (+4.78 units), FA Cup (+3.07), EFL Cup (+3.64), Euro 2024 qualifiers (+3.01) and Europa League (+1.60).
Green knows the hosts will try to come out fired up after a big victory in a tough venue. Forest have two losses in four matches, but those came to perennial Premier League powers Arsenal and Manchester United. They have scored in every match and had a 2-0 lead on United four minutes in but gave up the winning goal after going down to 10 men. Taiwo Owoniyi already has three goals, and Forest should find success against a side that has yielded 11 goals in three games.
The expert also is aware that Burnley's only decent performance this season came on this pitch on Aug. 30. The Clarets beat Forest 1-0 in an EFL Cup second-round match as they held the Tricky Trees without a shot on net. Burnley have scored three goals in their past two league matches. Manager Vincent Kompany, longtime captain and star defender for Manchester City, has the insight to get his back line squared away. South African Lyle Foster is the team's top goal-scorer with two.
Green has taken an in-depth look at the Nottingham Forest vs. Burnley match and is leaning slightly over on the goal total. He also has locked in three CONFIDENT best bets, including a goal-scorer at plus money, and is offering a full breakdown of this English Premier League match! You ABSOLUTELY need to see his picks and analysis before making any selections of your own.
