The latest spring pro football league has arrived as the United States Football League (USFL) begins play on Saturday, April 16. The eight-team league is centralized in Birmingham, Ala., which will host all games of the 10-week regular season. If you're looking for advice on 2022 USFL picks, you can't do any better than SportsLine's No. 1 pro football expert, R.J. White.
CBS Sports' Fantasy and gambling managing editor, White has delivered consistently on a high volume of picks over the long-term, returning $2,542 to $100 bettors on more than 800 against the spread picks since the start of the 2017 NFL season. It's no surprise, as White has cashed huge twice in the world's most prestigious football handicapping competition, the Las Vegas SuperContest.
He was also 16-4 on all XFL ATS picks before the league suspended operations in 2020. That included starting a 13-1 run at the start as books scrambled to correctly evaluate team quality in a league where little was known heading into the season.
Now, White has locked in against-the-spread picks for all four Week 1 USFL games, plus he's giving out recommendations on each total.
We can tell you White is backing the Tampa Bay Bandits (-4) against the Pittsburgh Maulers on Sunday night, but he also has strong picks for every other game, including a couple must-back underdogs! You ABSOLUTELY need to see White's picks before locking in any USFL bets.
