Before locking in your Peru vs. Colombia picks or make any 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying predictions, you HAVE TO see what sports gambling expert John Eimer has to say.
Eimer is a high-volume bettor who has vast knowledge of leagues and players across the globe. Since joining SportsLine, Eimer has covered the English Premier League, Serie A, the FA Cup and much more. The Indiana-based handicapper compiled a winning record of 260-133-1 with over 90 units of profit for his community on various platforms over a recent two-month stretch.
Eimer knows Colombia has been nearly impossible to score on, and while it hasn't been scoring much, it definitely has the potential. Luis Diaz is having a breakout year with Porto, scoring 14 goals and drawing major interest from the Premier League. He scored twice in a 3-2 victory in the last meeting at Copa America. Radamel Falcao (35 goals) is the nation's all-time leading scorer and James Rodriguez (23) is third, while goalkeeper David Ospina has appeared in 121 matches.
The expert also has considered that Peru has been looking strong, taking nine of its past 15 possible points in qualifying. It has fought hard in its past two meetings with the Colombians, winning the first Copa America matchup 2-1 before the loss in the third-place match. The team has talented veterans in a midfield led by Christian Cueva. Goalkeeper Pedro Gallese and longtime defenders Luis Advincula and Miguel Trauco have a strong rapport that makes the back line tough to break.
Eimer has taken an in-depth look at the Colombia vs. Peru South American Qualifying matchup and locked in his best bets. We can tell you he's leaning Over on the goal total.
