After the coronavirus pandemic halted the NBA season on March 11, the league will resume play on July 31 with 22 teams. The Lakers (+240) are the favorites in the latest 2020 NBA championship odds at William Hill, with the Bucks (+260) and Clippers (+320) also among the 2020 NBA championship favorites.
Before making any 2020 NBA championship picks, you'll want to see the NBA predictions from the model at SportsLine.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times and has returned more than $7,100 in profit on all top-rated NBA picks over the last two seasons. Anybody who has followed it has seen huge returns.
Now, with sportsbooks updating 2020 NBA championship odds with the season set to resume, the model has analyzed all 22 remaining teams and released its top 2020 NBA title picks.
We'll give one away: The model is low on the Lakers. Even though LeBron James, Anthony Davis & Co. have the best record (49-14) in the West and are the Vegas favorites, the team is winning just 25.0 percent of the simulations. At the current price of +240, the Lakers would need to win more than 29.4 percent of simulations to provide value according to the projection model.
In addition, the model is high on one team that's set to excel on a neutral court! This team plays well away from home and is winning more simulations than the odds emply. Anyone who backs this team could hit it BIG.
